Lets plant some seeds and watch it grow

To our incredible Velvet Quill community,

I have recieved so many words of encouragement this week and it gives me the strength to keep moving forward in this venture! I will keep pivoting until our vision becomes a reality!

If you’ve been following along, you know that building Velveteen has been an evolving labor of love. As a creative and a founder, one of the hardest, and most important, skills is knowing when to pivot to protect the long-term vision.

After a heart to heart with my loyal and brutally honest accountant, he crunched the numbers and looking honestly at the path forward, we’ve decided to step back from launching a traditional physical storefront right now. While that dream isn't disappearing forever, shifting away from brick-and-mortar overhead allows us to focus 100% on what matters most: creating unforgettable, beautifully crafted literary experiences.

Here is where we are channeling all of that creative momentum:

Season 1: First Edition Mystery Boxes are Here

We are currently in the final assembly phase of Season 1, Batch 1! We have nearly 30 hand-selected books being prepared for a limited drop.

We’ve completely re-engineered the unboxing experience from the ground up. I hope you enjoy the adventures I have planned for you!

The Kickstarter is Coming!

Many of you have asked about the Kickstarter campaign we’ve been teasing behind the scenes.

While we haven't officially hit launch yet, it is actively in the works! We are using this initial drop of Season 1 boxes to perfect our production process so that when the Kickstarter goes live, we are ready to bring the full world of The Velvet Quill to a much wider audience.

Signing up for our updates here is the best way to make sure you're first in line when the campaign officially launches.

Thank You for Walking This Path With Us

Pivoting isn't always easy, but turning this into a direct-to-your-door experience means we can pour every ounce of detail, mystery, and magic directly into what lands in your hands.

Keep an eye out for final preview photos of the Phase 2 prototypes coming very soon!
